The Mendeley Profile was developed to address the need for maintaining an up-to-date list of publications on a research website such as mblazquez.es, built using WordPress. In this way, any publication or updated detail in the Mendeley personal profile is automatically transferred to any WordPress page, properly formatted and integrated. Additionally, the plugin allows users to configure which aspects of the profile should be visible and which should remain hidden—for example, professional experience, publications by type, education, awards, biographical data, affiliation, photograph, etc.
The result is simple yet highly useful: there is no longer a need to manually update scientific publication data in two separate locations. Updating the Mendeley profile automatically synchronizes the corresponding WordPress page without any manual intervention.
Installation
The plugin can be installed directly by any WordPress administrator via the Plugins section in the backend.
Configuration
Plugin configuration is located in the Settings or Adjustments section of the WordPress backend. Only the public URL of the Mendeley user profile is required. Subsequently, users can select which elements of their profile, curriculum vitae, and publications should be displayed.
